About Us
History
Church Street Montessori was established in 1997 as Bloomington Montessori by Sujata Kanianthra and Laurie Chapman. Its original location was in Blue Hills Child and Family Services on Bloomington Road West in south Aurora. In 2002 when Blue Hills needed the space for its own programs, the school moved to its present location at 17 Church Street and was renamed Church Street Montessori. The school is now located in a quaint two-story, renovated century home in the heart of Aurora. The backyard is large and surrounded by mature trees giving the children a lovely outdoor environment in which to play.
